Makeji is a brand that merges luxury and style with high quality craftsmanship. We aim to bring the rich heritage and cultural authenticity of Africa to you! All our pieces are created in Nigeria, by a team that uses traditional techniques passed down through generations by local artisans.
We are inspired by vivacious, hand-loomed fabrics traditionally worn in Nigeria. Our pieces feature vibrant colour palettes made with the infusion of the hand woven Aso-oke, Ankara fabrics, Jute and leather.
Our mission is to share Africa with you. With Makeji, your wardrobe will be bold, beautiful and vibrant with our specially curated pieces. Every handbag is one of a kind!

About the Creative Director
Madeline Nwokeji is the founder and creative director of Makeji. She has a diverse background encompassing; Project Management, Marketing and Skincare.
Her love for Africa and fashion inspired this brand. She is deeply attached to her Nigerian roots and her mission is:
